French black metal institution MERRIMACK to tour the US for the first time this November/December!

French black metal institution and MORIBUND recording artists MERRIMACK are confirmed as support for the "U.S. Plague Tour 2009," which will feature headliners MARDUK and also NACHTMYSTIUM, MANTIC RITUAL, and on select dates BLACK ANVIL. This tour will be MERRIMACK's first (and highly anticipated) performances on American soil, all in support of new album Grey Rigorism, released just this week in North America by MORIBUND.

THE AMENTA Teams Up With VADER, DECREPIT BIRTH, WARBRINGER, AUGURY, S.W.W.A.A.T.S For “Monsters Of Death Tour”

Sydney Australia-based extreme metal act THE AMENTA will join VADER, DECREPIT BIRTH, WARBRINGER, AUGURY, S.W.W.A.A.T.S. on “Monsters Of Death Tour” presented by Decibel Magazine.  “Monsters of Death Tour” kicks off on November 4 in Baltimore, Maryland and will run for 38 dates across North America, also marking the first North American tour for THE AMENTA.  

 

DARK CASTLE Northeastern Excursions

St. Augustine, Florida's super-doom duo DARK CASTLE will be brining their slow-motion, cerebral onslaught to the Northeast this September. Several dates are still being locked down and will be finalized in the coming days.

Swedish melancholic metallers IN MOURNING recently entered Black Lounge Studio (Scar Symmetry, Carnal Forge, Steel Attack etc.) with producer/producer Jonas Kjellgren (Carnal Forge, Centinex etc.) to begin work on the follow-up to their successful debut release Shrouded Divine.

PELICAN have posted a new track from their upcoming album on their official MySpace page: http://www.myspace.com/pelican.
 
The song, entitled "Strung Up From The Sky", is one of the eight tracks encompassing the band's upcoming full-length What We All Come To Need, being released on October 27th, their first for Southern Lord Recordings.
