Relic - Crown of Flies (2026)

Unleashing hell on earth, today we have Relic with their hard-hitting EP “Crown of Flies”. Featuring four songs and over 10-minutes of crushing Death/Black Metal, the band makes a serious introduction with some of the most crushing music released in 2026. If you are looking for a heavy release to mosh till you drop, this is a diamond in the rough.

Opening with “The Void Between Gods”, the band sets a high-octane pace with pummeling guitar riffs and massive drumming. The band goes straight for the jugular as “Filth of Rebirth” and “Scavengers Daughter” unleash more fury in the shape of hellish vocals and a blistering pace. While the songs are short, they make up in their sheer brutality aligned with excellent musicianship.

As the release closes with the vicious saw-like riffs of “Iron Sacrament”, the listener is left blown away at the sheer incisiveness of the band’s sound. Relic shows the are not fucking around with this self-released EP, and sets a very high bar in therms of raw promise they have. If you are looking to get your fix of brutality in a small package, “Crown of Flies” is just what the doctor ordered.
