Aversio Humanitatis - To Become The Endless Ecstatic (2026)

Unleashing vicious exercise in brutality, today we have Spain’s Aversio Humanitatis and their latest opus “To Become The Endless Ecstatic”. In six years since their last effort, the band has managed to expand and make their sound even more crushing, thing of Ulcerate but with a Black Metal edge. Delivering almost 35 minutes of music, this release will certainly grab you by surprise thanks to its incisive and primeval nature.

Opening with blistering “Long Stretch the Shadows”, the band sets an impossible pace with pummeling drumming and hellish riffing. Not holding off on anything, this outfit quickly sets a decadent atmosphere. The album title track continues the nightmare with A.M’s vocals piercing through to the chaotic and powerful instrumentation. This track is pure brutality, and sets nicely the transition to ‘calmer’ territories with “Blackened Mold Marrow”.

As our favorite track, “Strange Angles” delivers engaging melodic elements that give the song a bit of restraint amongst crafty tempo changes and some hellish escalations. This is the song that gave us certain Ulcerate vibes and we are all for it. Showcasing the craftier side of the band “The White Noise is Calling” and “Collapsing into the Resonance” unleash darker and more exploratory elements, creating thicker atmospheric foundations and ravaging the listener with some furious onslaughts in good measure.

Overall, “To Become The Endless Ecstatic” is another fierce and pummeling release from this Spanish outfit. The band does no have many releases, but they make them count with brutal energy and a heap of excellent ideas. Aversio Humanitatis is one of those bands that thrives in creating incisive brutality, but has matured enough to be able to add some restraint and still deliver the same effect. Do not sleep on this killer release.
