Alcest - Mono - Kælan Mikla - The UC Theater, Berkeley, CA - 3/8/2025

Featuring one of the most stacked tour line-ups in a while, Alcest was set to finally return to North America with their latest dream-like opus “Les chants de l'aurore”. But that was not the whole surprise, as Japan’s Post-Rock/Shoegaze giants Mono and Iceland’s post-punk outfit Kælan Mikla completed the bill. As we love all three bands, this was one of the must see shows for us in 2025.

Dethklok - BABYMETAL - Nekrogoblikon - The Masonic - San Francisco, CA - 4/25/2024

With several shows happening during a short span of time, the Metal scene in San Francisco was in for a treat with Dethklok and BABYMETAL playing not one, but two shows at the amazing The Masonic theater. Sadly we missed the first show, with the band’s pairing with Dragonforce on their latest visit to town, however, Nekrogoblicon was up for the task on the second night.

Seven Spires - Omnium Gatherum - Eluveitie - The Masquerade, Atlanta, GA - 3/30/2023

Nearly at the end of their tour, this excellent package made its way to Atlanta, GA, and there is no way we were going to miss them. Opening the night we had Seven Spires, a band that has played a few times here before at ProgPower USA, and most recently they came through town with DragonForce in 2022. With their excellent heavier than average and highly Progressive Symphonic Metal, Adrienne Cowan and company delivered a killer show.

Fleshgod Apocalypse - Obscura - Wolfheart - Thulcandra - Oriental Theatre - Denver, CO - 2/23/2022

Making our way to Denver was delayed due to bad weather in Colorado, but luckily this date was not postponed and the show went on. With plenty of tours making their way through North America, this package is definitely one of the most intense with such killer bands that Wolfheart and Thulcandra, are the ‘openers’. With a temperature hovering around 10 degrees fahrenheit, we made our way to the Oriental Theater to escape the cold and enjoy one intense evening.
