Deiphago - Filipino Antichrist (2009)

Deiphago has been around for over 20 years and they have only managed to release two full length albums (and all of the in the last 3 years). It makes you wonder why is that a band that has many years of experience has not released anymore albums, well you are about to find out: THEY SUCK.

While I’m usually pretty lenient with all the music I get to review, and with music in general, I can’t find ANY redeeming qualities for this album at all. The music is terrible, if you can call that music, the vocals are just like a pig getting slaughtered and somebody with a bad case of diarrhea, the drumming sounds like somebody throwing rocks at a warehouse aluminum ceiling.

I can say that the best thing of this album is that it’s only 30 minutes long, and the songs go by quick enough so you are refrained from jumping out of the window in pain. I did listen to this album more than 5 times, and every time it was as painful, unlike other bad albums that eventually something grows on you.

If you want to have something in your CD collection that will get the cops called on you instantly, or if you want to clear out a party, please buy this CD, since that’s what I will be using it for in the future. However, I must say that if you like Archgoat and old Beherit (two of the bands I can’t stand) then you will probably enjoy this chaotic release.

I’m usually not mean when reviewing but this CD threw me over the edge, I have received bad albums in the past, and found some redeeming qualities on them, but in this case I rather just speak my mind and avoid the pain to a few people. But like I mentioned if you want something extreme random and ‘brutal’ you got it with “Filipino Antichrist”
