Hailing from Russia, today we have Moon Far Away and their sixth full-length release “Acou”. Featuring a very rich and enigmatic Neo-Folk style, this release delivers over 46 minutes of elegant and very crafty music. For fans of Dead Can Dance, Rome, and Neun Welten, this release is full of rich instrumentation alongside lush vocal arrangements and a very mellow and yet hypnotic vibe.

Opening with the album title track, the mood is set by somber percussion alongside Leda’s talented vocals. The band’s minimalist approach allows the music to be more enigmatic and lush, creating magical songs like “Steel Light Love”, the solemn “Look The Human Flocks”, and the expansive “Soulofkey” and its crafty piano. Other tracks like “To Count Her Names” and “How Do The Moons Walk On Grain”, have that very organic vibe, creating a very immersive and relaxing experience.
