2009 marked the first year in the history of Nuclear Blast USA that all albums released in the same month landed on a Billboard chart.
The following four albums, all released in September, debuted on the Billboard Heakseekers Chart, which ranks the best-selling albums by new artists who have never appeared on the Top 100 of the Billboard 200:
o SONATA ARCTICA, The Days Of Grays (released September 22nd): #19
o THREAT SIGNAL, Vigilance (released September 8th): #32
o VADER, Necropolis (released September 22nd): #36
o ECHOES OF ETERNITY, As Shadows Burn (September 22nd): #134
The following five Nuclear Blast artist releases for 2009 have also debuted on a Billboard chart:
· SUFFOCATION, Blood Oath (released July 14th): Debuted at #2 on the Heatseekers chart; #135 on Top 200
· IMMORTAL, All Shall Fall (released October 6th): Debuted at #7 on the Heatseekers chart; #162 on Top 200
· AMORPHIS, Skyforger (released June 16th): Debuted at #33 on the Heatseekers chart
· EDGUY, Tinnitus Sanctus (released January 27th): Debuted at #88 on the Heatseekers chart
· EX DEO, Romulus (released June 30th): Debuted at #90 on the Heatseekers chart
In addition to the Billboard blitz, Nuclear Blast’s YouTube channel is the #12 Most Viewed channel for musician videos with 181,987,922 views (and counting!), outranking Shakira, Avril Lavigne, Usher, Justin Timberlake, and Alicia Keys.
