ReVamp – Sabaton – Iced Earth – Slim’s, San Francisco, CA – 5/3/2014

After moving to the Bay area, we have been delighted to see the amount of shows that we can potentially attend. We finally jumped at the opportunity of covering one of the most anticipated tours of 2014 featuring ReVamp, Sabaton and veterans Iced Earth. Being huge fans of Sabaton and curious about seeing Floor Jansen with ReVamp, this was a very good opportunity to check out the facilities at Slim’s.

Anathema – Alcest – Mamiffer – Summit Music Hall – Denver, CO - 9/24/2013

Closing our weekend of excessive drinking and live music, we had Anathema, Alcest and Mamiffer delivering one of the best shows we have seen in Denver, Co in the last few years. While the Anathema / Alcest combination might sound weird for some, being huge fans of both bands we were pretty psyched about this live show.

Roadburn 2013 – Day 1

While making our way through our bucket list of Metal/Extreme Music festivals to attend in our lifetime, we always passed on Roadburn due to its non-traditional schedule being in April. However, all the stars aligned in 2013 for us to be able to attend. Coincidentally, the festival also had one of their best ever line-up’s (in our opinion) with almost half the bands playing being very high on our musical lists.

Eindhoven Metal Meeting 2012 – December 14, 15 2012, Eindhoven, Holland – Day 1

Marking the beginning of our 2012 holidays in Germany, we decided to swing by Holland and visit one of the premier indoor festivals: Eindhoven Metal Meeting. Having seen the line-ups from previous years, we jumped at the opportunity to see bands like The Devil’s Blood, Sodom, Dark Tranquility, and Brujeria among many others.

Korpiklaani, Moonsorrow, Týr, and Metsatöll - Billings, Montana - September 5th, 2012

Making the ‘short’ two-hour drive for one of the highly unusual Metal shows in Montana was a complete no-brainer since the always fun Korpiklaani was going to be in Billings, MT, with Moonsorrow, Týr, and Metsatöll. With the doors opening at 5 pm (wtf!), we managed to get out of work early and drive at a leisurely (and legal) speed to get to Billings in time.

Arsenic Addiction + Cvltvs Mortem – June 25th, Bozeman, Montana

After not attending a show for almost 3 months we were starting to feel the need to drive somewhere and listen to some live Metal. Luckily for us Salt Lake City’s Arsenic Addiction, and Idaho-based Cvltvs Mortem where playing a show in town. There are NEVER decent Metal shows in Bozeman, Montana, and this one was a great opportunity to not have to drive 15 hrs for a show and check out two promising American bands that we would normally never get the chance to experience unless they opened for a bigger act.
