The year 2018 was a great one for Metal. Tons of killer releases from established bands as well as newcomers that are taking the scene by surprise.

Honorable Mention: Anaal Nathrakh - A New Kind of Horror (2018)

The band keeps getting more brutal and more deranged with each release!

10. The Moor - Jupiter’s Immigrants (2018)

Relatively unknown, The Moor unleashed one of the albums we played the most in 2018.

9. Messa – Feast for Water (2018)

Sultry vocals perfectly adorned by pummeling riffs, crushing and intoxicating at the same time.

8. Killing Gandhi – Aspirations of Failure (2018)

Brilliant Melodic Death Metal from this band on the brink of widespread notoriety.

7. The Ocean - Phanerozoic I: Palaeozoic (2018)

The Ocean continues their musical evolution with another brilliant and complex release.

6. Sylvaine - Atoms Aligned, Coming Undone (2018)

Growing into her own sound, Sylvaine delivers her best album to date.
