The Kandidate – Until We Are Outnumbered (2010)

Coming form Denmark, we have yet another Trash/Death Metal band, and while they are not bad musicians, the album is super dull and there is nothing to be found in “Until We Are Outnumbered”.

I always strive to be fair when reviewing music, but sometimes band’s and albums make it too hard on me. The Kandidate plays some very simple Trash/Death Metal that seems like a collection of riffs from 100’s of other albums mashed together in an uninspired manner.

The music like I mentioned before is pretty dull and repetitive. The vocals are average and never standout, pretty standard for a release of the genre, but nothing too exciting. The clear Slayer influences are present both in the riffing style and vocals, but it’s not enough to create an enjoyable release.

The best thing I can say about “Until We Are Outnumbered” is that the production of the album is pretty good and every instrument sounds just right, aside from this there is nothing else worth mentioning about this release. So be warned before buying.

If you are a huge Trash/Death Metal fan, then you should look elsewhere since you will be bored to Death with this release. Hopefully the band gets new and fresher ideas before their next release so it can be a memorable one.
