After almost 30 years of musical career Ministry leaves us with “Adios…Puta Madres”, a live album from their last world tour. There are limited amount of things that one can say about a live album, and I’ll be sure to cover all of them. First off, Ministry featured a pretty solid line-up during their last tour and this is reflected in the performance of all songs featured in the album.
“Adios…Puta Madres” features a wide variety of songs that made Ministry legendary and such an influence on countless other bands. While many people will argue that their favorite song is not included here, this would have been a very difficult feat to achieve considering the band’s almost 30 year long career. But most essential songs are featured here.
The quality of the live recording in excellent and very consistent throught out the whole album, I say this since songs where taken from different performances all over the world. This release takes the listener as ‘closer’ to the concert experience as possible by a live album.
Overall, I can say that this live album would be a nice addition to any fan of the band and also for any of us that missed the band during their last tour. Also, if you did not have the chance of listening to all of Ministry’s releases, this album will provide a good summary of what you missed during the last years.
