Interview with Nocturnal Fear (Rev. Chris Slavehunter Ph.d.)

Thanks for the interview and let’s get started with the questions:

Infernal Masquerade: There are many bands playing Death/Trash Metal why did you guys decided to play this genre?

Rev. First of all NOCTURNAL FEAR is not a "band", we are a SPECIAL FORCES UNIT with the mission of destroying false metal with our RUTHLESS ASSAULT.  We did not decide on this mission, we were called by THE VOICE.  We heed the call, for TRUE SPEED FUCKING METAL IS OUR RELIGION. There are many "bands" who've decided it's cool to dabble in so-called "thrash" but these pathetic ladyboys are a fucking joke!  ONCE AGAIN we are here to set the record straight on who the KINGS OF THRASH are, METAL OF HONOR is here, and is ready to RIP YOUR UGLY FUCKING FACE OFF!!

I.M: How do you think your sound has evolved/changed since the band was conceived to this days?

Rev. Supporters of TRUE METAL know what they are getting with NOCTURNAL FEAR!  True face ripping German poser killing METAL.

I.M: ”Metal Of Honor”  is the band’s 4th full-length album, has it gotten easier to write and record music over time, how do you compare the recording of this album to when you recorded the first full-length?

Rev. Now we are on MORIBUND CULT and getting way more exposure.  Now our albums have huge distribution, along with brutal production and killer artwork.

I.M: What is the main concept(s) behind “Metal Of Honor”, the cover has a Call of Duty/Medal Of Honor video game similarity, is it intended to be related?

Rev. The concept is simple, we play WAR METAL with HONOR.  We have our own little corner of the underground, but we will defend our territory to the DEATH.  We do our own thing and have become known as the KINGS OF WAR METAL!  We support all WAR because it represents action over talk.

I.M: What is the main motivation driving all band members to keep making Metal, specially ‘old school’ style Metal?

Rev. Metal is our Religion period.  This is why we Wage War in the name of Metal.

I.M: Would you ever wish to be featured in a Guitar Hero (or related) video game?

Rev. No.  We don't play games-WE WAGE WAR!

I.M: Any touring planned in support of “Metal Of Honor”?

Rev. We plan on destroying Europe, so take cover!

I.M: Have you guys started thinking about ‘the next album’ already?

Rev. I have already begun writing the follow up to METAL OF HONOR.  Our
5th album EXCESSIVE CRUELTY will BASH YOUR FUCKING HEAD IN!
