Sabaton is one of the most interesting Power Metal bands in the scene these days, partly because of their very unique sounding vocals and their Military Inspired concept, but they are mostly great because they kick-ass in every single direction, being vocally, musically and lyrically. Just a few weeks after release the band’s latest album (“Coat of Arms” ) managed to hit two billboard charts in the USA (#124 on Heatseekers and #87 on Top Hard Music. We managed to sneak a conversation with the voice behind this great band, Joakim Broden. We started off this interview discussing the lyrical ideas and concept behind “Coat of Arms”. We also talked about whiny musicans and future plans for Sabaton, and how Joakim ended up being the vocalist of the band.
