Vocalist Mark Osegueda of Bay Area thrash legends, DEATH ANGEL, will be one of many contributing artists at this years Winter Metal Symphony (formerly the Christmas Metal Symphony), taking place on January 22, 2011 in Tilburg, Netherlands. Confirmed artist so far include Nils K. Rue (PAGAN MIND), Anneke van Giersbergen (ex-THE GATHERING), Anna Phoebe (TSO). Tickets are on sale now and cost € 28,00 (presale) or € 32,50 (show day). "Relentless Retribution", the new album from San Francisco Bay Area metallers DEATH ANGEL, sold around 2,700 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 10 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200. The record also came in at #188 on Billboards Top Current Albums chart, making it DEATH ANGEL’s highest charting record since the bands reformation in 2004.
